It all began when Cristina and Ms. Turtlette hit the road for their very first adventure — and just like that, the Meet Ms. Turtlette Summer Trips were born! Ever since, it’s been nonstop heart-smiles, giggles, and loads of shell-love!
🌴 In 2024, hearts opened wide to Ms. Turtlette in Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and New York.
🌎 In 2025, her journey reached even farther — all the way to Maryland, Delaware, Niagara Falls (Ontario, Canada), and even beautiful Guatemala!
At every stop, with every story shared, came giggles, wonder, and a gentle reminder: you matter.
Ms. Turtlette isn’t just a tiny traveler — she’s a soft-spoken friend reminding us that real strength lives within our shells.

The Heart Behind Ms. Turtlette: Cristina's Inspiring Journey
From a young age, Cristina Terrazas found joy in the world of books. The stories she read transported her to marvelous places, introduced her to magical characters, and filled her imagination with wonder and possibility.
At 16, Cristina was diagnosed with epilepsy. Years later, while crossing a major intersection, she suffered a life threatening grand mal seizure, now referred to as a generalized tonic-clonic seizure. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan called 911. Her heartfelt search for the stranger who saved her life was featured on her local news channel. Story here:

Cristina had always dreamed of writing children’s books. But it wasn’t until adulthood—thanks to a gentle nudge from her daughter—that she finally took the leap. Her daughter lovingly encouraged her to enroll in a personal development class, and Cristina said yes. In that class, something unexpected happened. Cristina learned about a subject it took her several years to do, self-discovery.
With a little more encouragement from a close friend, she decided it was time to chase her dream—though she wasn’t quite sure what to write about at first. But then it clicked. She realized it’s never too late to learn something new too... or to learn to love yourself which is a stepping stone in self-discovery.
And so, with a full heart and a fresh perspective, Cristina wrote her very first children’s book:

Because just like Cristina, Ms. Turtlette is here to remind kids—and grown-ups too—that you’re always learning, always growing, and always worthy of love. Especially your own.
Cristina’s book has a heartfelt mission: to help kids learn to love themselves and remind them that their story is special, and it's ok to ask questions. The book also shares simple ways to show themselves love, like writing themselves a letter and mailing it, too!
